Martin is one of the leading tenor horn players in the country. He is currently principal horn with the Fishburn band having previously held the same position with Grimethorpe, Fodens and Black Dyke.  He is the principal horn with the Brass Band of Battle Creek (an all star band from the USA) with whom he regularly tours Canada, the US and the Bahamas and is in great demand as a guest soloist.  Martin has appeared as a soloist throughout Europe and has recorded with artists such as Peter Gabriel and The Beautiful South. Throughout his banding career Martin has won all the major contests and is a regular tutor with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. Martin works for a telecommunications company specialising in sales.
